Syed Abul A'ala Maududi (سید ابو الاعلىٰ مودودی ) , also known as Molana (Maulana) or Shaikh Syed Abul A'ala Mawdudi, was a Sunni Pakistani journalist, theologian, Muslim revivalist leader and political philosopher, and a major 20th century Islamist thinker.

He was also a prominent political figure in Pakistan and was the first recipient of King Faisal International Award for his services to Islam in 1979. He was also the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, the Islamic revivalist party.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ayatollah As-Sayyid Ruhollah Mostafavi Musavi Khomeini ( روح‌اللّه مصطفوی موسوی خمینی, was an Iraniran religious leader and politician, and leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution which saw the overthrow of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran.

Following the revolution and a national referendum, Khomeini became the country's Supreme Leader—a position created in the constitution as the highest ranking political and religious authority of the nation—until his death



Maulana Tariq Jameel (مولاناطارق جمیل) (Born 1953) is an Islamic scholar from Pakistan.His native town is Tulambah near Mian Channu. His father was an agriculturist who belonged to the Muslim Rajputs community.


Tariq Jameel was born and raised in Mian Channu. In his childhood he lived a relatively modest life but religion was not a major part of his life and his family in particular. It wasn't until he pursued his M.B.B.S. in Lahore that his focus shifted towards Islam.

After completing his Higher Secondary School education (a.k.a F.Sc in some regions of Pakistan) in pre-medical (equivalent to A 'levels') from Government College University Lahore, he took admission in King Edward Medical College in Lahore.

He intended to do his M.B.B.S., but he soon switched to Islamic education. He then went on to receive Islamic education from Jamia Arabia, Raiwind (near Lahore), Pakistan where he studied Quran, Hadith, Sharia, Tasawwuf, logic and Fiqh.

He is primarily famous due to his speeches and bayans national and international level related to Islamic teachings.

Mian Tufail Mohammad (میاں طفيل محمد)
(April 1914 - 25 June 2009) was a Pakistani political and religious leader and a close companion of Sayyed Maududi r.t.a. He was the 2nd Ameer Of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan.

He was a lawyer professionaly and had very deep professional competence. Mian Tufail Mohammad was born in Kapurthala, Punjab State, India in an Arain family.

He received his B.A. (Hons) in Physics and Mathematics from Government College, Lahore, with distinction in 1935 and completed his LL.B. (specializing in witness and land laws) in 1937 from the University Law College, Lahore, securing Second position. For his religious orientation, he owes much to Sayyid Abul A'ala Maududi and Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi for taking his lessons in Qur'an and Hadith.

Mian Sahab will be remembered as an honest, simple and humble leader of one of the largest political parties in Pakistan. At the time of his death, the only asset he possessed was the house he lived in, add to it, those plain white shalwar-kameez’s that he wore, a Jinnah cap and a walking stick.

Sheikh Hasan Ahmed Abdel Rahman Muhammed al-Banna (حسن أحمد عبد الرحمن محمد البنا‎, known as Hasan al-Banna was a schoolteacher and imam, best known for founding the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the largest and most influential 20th century Muslim revivalist organizations.

Dr. Abdel Aziz Ali Abdulmajid al-Rantissi (عبدالعزيز علي عبدالمجيد الحفيظ الرنتيسي‎,); was the co-founder of the militant Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.

Rantissi was Hamas's political leader and spokesman in the Gaza Strip following the Israeli killing of Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin in March 2004. Dr. Rattissi attended Alaxendria University of EGYPT.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar (ګلبدین حکمتیار ) ) is an Afghan Mujahideen leader who is the founder and leader of the Hezb-e Islami political party and paramilitary group.

Hekmatyar was a rebel military commander during the 1980s Soviet war in Afghanistan and was one of the key figures in the civil war that followed the Soviet withdrawal. He was Prime Minister of Afghanistan from 1993 to 1994 and again briefly in 1996.

He is currently fighting with the NATO & US forces in Afghanistan.

Khurram Jah Murad an Islamic scholar occupies a place of distinction in the intellectual firmament of contemporary Islam. A thinker and a prolific writer, he has been one of the architects of current Islamic resurgence. While his da'wah activities began in Pakistan, he has been involved in the promotion of the Islamic movement in Asia, Europe and Africa.

As a teacher and a da'iyah his speeches and thoughtful orations have inspired thousands of young men and women all over the world. As chief of the training departments of the Jamiat, the Jamaat and as an active resource-person in training programmes in the UK, he played a key role in the character-building of the youth in the Islamic Movement.


Khurram Murad served as Naib Amir (Vice-President) Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, a Trustee and a former Director General of the Islamic Foundation in Leicester, UK, and editor of Tarjumanal Qur'an, Lahore, Pakistan (an epoch making journal founded by the renowned Islamic scholar, Abul Ala Maududi in 1932), and the quarterly Muslim World Book Review, Leicester, UK.

He was born in Bhopal, India, and after graduating cum laude, he took his Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota. From 1975-1976, he was involved in the extension project of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.

An author of over thirty five works in Urdu and English, his thoughts have influenced two generations of Muslims all the world over.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad (قاضی حسین احمد) was the third president (1987–2009) of the Islamist political party Jamaat-e-Islami, a major political party in Pakistan. Ahmad was also head of the Muttahidah Majlis-e-'Amal , a coalition between religious-political parties.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad holds Masters Degree in Geography from Peshawar University. He served as a lecturer in Swat University for several years.

Qazi Husain Ahmad is the most prominent and competent person over Iqbal Studies. He is a follower of Allama Iqbal. He learned several Languages and is a literary person.

He is very popular for his Dharna Sitting in Islambad in front of Parliament House which was followed by the downfall of Govt.

(Prof.Ghulam Azam ) (Born 7 November 1922)

He is a Bangladeshi political leader who is regarded in his country as a war criminal of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. The former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, he opposed the independence of Bangladesh during and after the 1971 war and led the formation of Shanti Committee, Razakar and Al-Badr to thwart the Mukti Bahini that fought for independence.

He also lobbied against the acknowledgment of new-born Bangladesh after 1971 with a opened demand called 'Bangladesh Na Manjoor' (Bangladesh not approved). During this activity Ghulam Azam sent requests to Middle Eastern countries to deny recognition to Bangladesh. This continued until the late 1980s.

Motiur Rahman Nizami (Born 31 March 1943)

Motiur Rahman Nizam is the current chief (Ameer) of the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, which is the largest Islamic political party in Bangladesh.

Nizami rose in the ranks of the Jamaat-e-Islami in East Pakistan in the 1960s, after being a leader of a student organization, Islamic Chhatro Shango (now Islami Chhatro Shibir). During the liberation war of 1971, Nizami actively supported the cause of West Pakistan and formed the Al-Badr Force in which he acted as the supreme commander of the Al-Badr Militia.

Maulana Waheed-Ud-Deen Khan From INDIA

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan (born January 1, 1925) is a noted Islamic scholar and peace activist. He has received, among others, the Demiurgus Peace International Award, under the patronage of the former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev; the Padma Bhushan.

India's third highest civilian honour; the National Citizen’s Award, presented by Mother Teresa and the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award (2009).

He has translated the Quran in simple and contemporary English and wrote a commentary on the Quran and currently give lectures on different TV Channels.

Javed Ahmed Ghamidi from PAKISTAN

Javed Ahmad Ghamidi (Urdu: جاوید احمد غامدی) is a well-known Pakistani Muslim theologian, Quran scholar and exegete, and educationist. A former member of the Jamaat-e-Islami, who extended the work of his tutor, Amin Ahsan Islahi. Ghamidi is the founder of Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences and its sister organization Danish Sara.

He is running an intellectual movement similar to Wastiyya in Egypt on the popular electronic media of Pakistan.

Born in Hissar, (today's Haryana) in India, the second son of a government servant, he is the founder of the Tanzeem-e-islami, an off-shoot of the Jamaat-e-Islami. He hosted a daily show on Peace TV.

He is sometimes referred to as a televangelist.Before becoming a public speaker, he trained as a doctor. He has written books on Islam and comparative religion.

Sheikh Ahmed Yaseen Shaheed, Founder Of HAMAS Palestine. (1937 – 22 March 2004)

Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Hassan Yassin (الشيخ أحمد إسماعيل حسن ياسين‎,) was a founder of Hamas, an Islamist Palestinian paramilitary organization and political party.

Yassin also served as the spiritual leader of the organization. Hamas gained popularity in Palestinian society by establishing hospitals, education systems, libraries and other services.

Yassin, a quadriplegic who was nearly blind, had used a wheelchair since a sporting accident at the age of 12.He was assassinated when an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a missile at him as he was being wheeled from early morning prayers.

His killing, in an attack that claimed the lives of both his bodyguards and nine bystanders, precipitated both criticism and praise of Israel, and many observers suggested that the act would negatively impact the peace process.200,000 Palestinians attended his funeral procession.

Abdur Rasheed Turabi is a well-known politician of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. He is the ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami.

He is a well known columnist. He remained Nazim e Kashmir of islami jamiat talaba.

He participated greatly in the freedom movement of Kashmir. He also remained member of legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Syed Munawar Hasan (Born August 1944)

Syed Munawar Hasan' ( سید منور حسن ) is the Ameer (President) of Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan, a hardline Islamist party.

Syed Munawar Hasan is from a distinguished family, based at Delhi before the independence of Pakistan.

He obtained a Masters in Sociology (1963) and in Islamic Studies (1966) from the University of Karachi.

Mahathir bin Mohamad (born 10 July 1925) is a Malaysian politician who was the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia. He held the post for 22 years from 1981 to 2003, making him Malaysia's longest serving Prime Minister.

His political career spanned almost 40 years.He made his nation one of the most strongest economic zone.

In 2006 he had a 2-hour talk with James W. Walter and William Rodriguez with regards to the US Government involvement in the 9/11 attacks.

He urged the world's 1.3 billion Muslims to boycott Dutch products following the release of the anti-Islam movie Fitna by the Dutch politician Geert Wilders, it was reported on 30 March 2008.

He also urged all Muslims to boycott the anti-Islam documentary Islam: What the West Needs to Know and called for the arrest of the film directors Gregory Davis and Bryan Daly.

Memood Ahmadi Nejad (Born 28 October 1956) is the sixth and current President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the main political leader of the Alliance of Builders of Islamic Iran, a coalition of conservative political groups in the country.

An engineer and teacher from a poor background. He gained popularity in the Muslim world after his strict dealing with US and Israel.

Ahmadinejad joined the Office for Strengthening Unity after the Islamic Revolution. Appointed a provincial governor, he was removed after the election of President Mohammad Khatami and returned to teaching. Tehran's council elected him mayor in 2003.

He took a religious hard-line, reversing reforms of previous moderate mayors. His 2005 presidential campaign, supported by the Alliance of Builders of Islamic Iran, garnered 62% of the runoff election votes, and he became President on 3 August 2005.

Sir Muhammad Iqbal (محمد اقبال)
(November 9, 1877 – April 21, 1938) was a Muslim poet and philosopher born in Sialkot, British India (now in Pakistan), whose poetry in Urdu and Persian is considered to be among the greatest of the modern era.

He is commonly referred to as Allama Iqbal (علامہ اقبال‎, Allama lit. Scholar).
After studying in England and Germany, Iqbal established a law practice, but concentrated primarily on writing scholarly works on politics, economics, history, philosophy and religion.

He is best known for his poetic works, including Asrar-e-Khudi—which brought a knighthood— Rumuz-e-Bekhudi, and the Bang-e-Dara, with its enduring patriotic song Tarana-e-Hind. In Afghanistan and Iran, where he is known as Iqbāl-e Lāhorī (اقبال لاهوری‎ Iqbal of Lahore), he is highly regarded for his Persian works.





Dr. Yousuf Al Qardawi from QATAR

(Born September 9, 1926) is an Islamic theologian living in EGYPT. He is best known for his programme, Ash-Shariah Wal-Hayat ("Shariah and Life"), broadcast on Al Jazeera, which has an estimated audience of 60 million worldwide.

He is also well-known for IslamOnline, a popular website he helped found in 1997 and for which he now serves as chief religious scholar.

Al-Qaradawi has published more than 120 books, including The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam and Islam: The Future Civilization. He has also received eight international prizes for his contributions to Islamic scholarship, and is considered one of the most influential such scholars living today.
Al-Qaradawi has long had a prominent role within the intellectual leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Sayyed Qutub, From EGYPT

Sayyid Qutb ( سيد قطب‎; was an Egyptian author, educator, Islamist theorist, poet, and the leading member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood in the 1950s and '60s.

Author of 24 books, including novels, literary arts’ critique, works on education, he is best known in the Muslim world for his work on what he believed to be the social and political role of Islam, particularly in his books Social Justice and Ma'alim fi-l-Tariq (Milestones).

His master piece, Fi Zilal al-Qur'an (In the shade of the Qur'an), is a 30-volume commentary on the Qur'an.
